Martin Cliffe
Martin is a professional musician and guitar teacher by trade. He's played guitar for over 20 years, and is experienced in many styles of music, having played metal with Fallen Angel and Nothing In Particular, rock with The Timber Merchants and Undiscovered Soul, funk with Some Have Wings, jazz, classical, and been in the pit for many a musical. He's been a singer for even longer than that, having sung solo for the first time at age 7 in a school play, and trained in classical choirs as well as singing rock music.
As well as guitar, Martin plays bass, keyboards, drums and percussion, and has occasionally been known to pick up a harmonica, whistle, recorder, or even the viola!
Martin has a degree in Media Technology from Salford University (class of 2003), worked for several years in IT support, and trained briefly as a classroom music teacher. He's married to Eva, and lives on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands. He is an avid follower of the Anaheim Ducks and the San Diego Chargers.
As of March 2011, Martin is proud to be on the artist roster for RJM Music Technology. He assisted them at their booth at Winter NAMM 2001 in January.
